Histamine
How to solve
Stabilizing is key
We get an increase in histamine from the body in 2 main ways: inputting through foods we eat and/or having mast cells release histamine in excess, with the inability to break it down.
Resulting in an over abundance of histamine in the body, which leads to a variety of symptoms all over the body. These widespread symptoms are due to mast cells located in pretty much every single area of the body.
End goal? We want to stabilize these mast cells through correct mast cell stabilizer supports, including: nervous system regulation, supplementation, environmental clean up, correcting weakened barriers in the body, healing foods, and reducing your unique triggers. Once the body is stabilized, we can go in and resolve what started all of this in the first place!
Mast cell stabilizers
Mast cells have multiple receptors on the outside of their cell, so they will need a few “stabilizers” that help to coat the cell as a whole to fully stabilize.
There are multiple mast cell stabilizer supplements, but how do we choose the right one? There can be many different things that affect someone’s ability to respond well:
Due to symptoms, is this the best option?
Is there salicylate intolerance involved?
Do they have methylation issues?
Currently being exposed to anything triggering?
Does that supplement contain known mast cell triggering fillers?
Where was this supplement sourced from?
Is this stabilizer third party tested?
It can be so confusing to pick the right one, which is why I created my upcoming LIVE masterclass on this topic!
LIVE Masterclass on Top Mast Cell Stabilizers
This is a 90 minute class learning my top 6 stabilizers, with a Q&A at the end.
What you will learn:
The top 6 mast cell stabilizers, research backed
How to actually add mast cell stabilizers in to avoid detection/flaring
When to add mast cell stabilizers in
Supplements filler to avoid
Why some mast cell stabilizers work for you and some won’t, to help you choose best options
Your own mast cell flare plan to reduce frequency and intensity of them if they occur
Why MCAS occurs, to be able to pinpoint your own “root cause” to fully resolving MCAS
This will be recorded, so you do not have to present for the class! The recording will be sent following class ending.
The class is Thursday, May 15th at 3:30pm PST!

Mast cell stabilization requires a multi faceted approach: and learning how to work with your body in onboarding them.
Favorite product of the week:
Olive oil is incredible for mold detoxification. I always have my clients add in a tablespoon at lunch & dinner. Mycotoxins are fat soluble, so they dissolve in fats easier. Olive oil provides a mechanism to transport them out of the body, and is an easy thing to implement!
The type of olive oil matters: we want it raw, cold pressed, organic & third party tested. The best olive oil I have come across is this one from Olive Tree.
The sourcing of anything matters, we want to avoid unnecessary contaminants, especially if highly sensitive. This olive oil also third party tests for phthalates, known mast cell trigger & hormone disrupter.

In other news, newest podcast episode was released!
This episode was with Dr. Judy Morgan, well renowned integrative & holistic vet. We discussed how to reduce our pet’s overall toxic burden, and it was amazing the parallels between their health and our own.

Hope you are all having a great week! I hope to see you in the masterclass next Thursday!
Yours in health,
Dr. Stephanie
